Summer of 2017

I took a year off from my ministry schedule to tend to my ailing mother, move my father and mother into a safer place then organize the funeral of Mom who passed into eternity this February. I am still dealing with the sale of their home and the dispersal of household items. At this time, I feel that Dad is living in a safe place in his 94th year and am ready to re-enter the calling God gave me years ago.

In 1999 I was on my first international mission trip and a pastor was using his gift of prophesy. The crux of the message was the Lord told me to go “Feed My Sheep.” At the time, I didn’t know how or what. But as the years have passed God has put me on a journey to speak in multitudes of nations and write an evangelistic book.

So, as I feel released to get on with my mission work, I have a busy summer. Last spring, I entered into a training program with a mission-sending agency called Adventures In Missions based in Gainesville, Georgia. I was trained as a Project Leader which is the person to bridge mission teams from various towns and cities with the host missions in whatever city AIM works with.

My first assignment was to be a project leader in Nashville, Tennessee for two teams coming in from two different churches; one from Houston and one from McAllister Texas. Both teams were great but the best part was getting to know the two other project leaders; one from Missouri and one from Virginia. It is amazing to me that folks from all over the United States are interested in missions and advancing the Kingdom of God.

In Nashville, AIM works with several missionary agencies, but our teams worked with two. One was to hold VBS in a low income project. The other was called The Bridge which held events every Tuesday under a city bridge to feed, clothe and deliver the gospel message. We participated in that and was blown away by the organization and the amount of clothing, food, and occasional tents they give out on a weekly basis.

We also helped work in The Bridge warehouse for two days. We found there is much organization to be done from the donated food and clothing. A lot of sorting was done and both teams were able to fill food bags for children who were out of school for the summer and not provided with enough food daily. It was a real honor for us to be able to make up bags for 1500 kids.

HONDURAS

SAN PEDRO SULA: My next trip will be to San Pedro Sula, Honduras in September with Whitefields Missions. I will join folks from several churches from multiple states where we will hold medical clinics in Honduras. As we give medicines for the body, we will also give medicine for the spirit. When we can treat a body and soul, the spiritual will be received with open hearts. Every person who comes to the clinic will hear the gospel message

LA CEIBA: This is a coastal town in Honduras. Whitefields is based there and I have ministered through there for many years. I will be joining two other ladies and conduct women’s meetings and work with children in the area.

INDIA

The new year, 2018 will begin with a trip to India. I work with an incredible organization that has an international school, as well as an orphanage and a school they attend, takes care of widows and helps them become independent business women and many other ministries. My hostess makes sure I am plenty busy when I come, but this year, I will be promoting my book, “Mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven” that has been translated into Telegu. Children as well as adults can enjoy this timeless narrative of the life of Jesus. I am always excited to see my friends and partners who live on the other side of the world.

I thank my God that He isn’t limited to one state, one country or one side of the earth. He is everywhere and I can always trust Him to be with me wherever He takes me. If you are interested in partnering with me by giving to this ministry, there is a DONATE button that will take you to PayPal.
