Mystery in the Translation of “Mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven”
I am excited to report that I now have a translation of my book, “Mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven” in Telegu, an Indian language. My good friend, Lata Lincoln who is a national in India, helped with this project. She had real challenges to get this book in a form that her people could read. The challenges were so bad, she got depressed over the events that happened and the amount of time it took.
The first translator took a while to get to the project and when she did, and had the book almost finished, the whole file on her computer disappeared. Not only the one on her computer, but her back-up as well. Lata, thinking it was incompetence, took the project from her and on to another translator.
This translator was in the midst of his work when he had a sudden heart attack and died. This really upset Lata and then knew that the enemy of God didn’t want this book made available in a language that a large population of India could read. So, she continued with the project, but had a hard time telling me there were problems.
The third and final translator finished the project (over 2 years later) and was amazed with this book. He had translated books for well-known authors including Joyce Meyers. When he reported to Lata that he was finished, he remarked “This book is so full of truth that every Indian must read it!”
Finally, the book was printed and 500 copies are made available to Lata’s pastoral families. She doesn’t want to give away too many copies, but wants to put a price on them to give them value. However, 500 copies won’t impact the population in a country that has over a billion people.
This book is easy to read, full of truth and gives insight in the life of Jesus and why He left heaven to come to the earth. It covers why He had to sacrifice His life and what He left on the earth when He finally returned back to heaven. The book is written in a narrative-story form and is a MUST READ for people of all ages…English or Indian.
